Cross Country Success!

Congratulations to our 13 runners who took part in the Primary Sports Canterbury Cross Country today in muddy and wet conditions at Halswell Quarry. Around 1400 runners took part, all who had qualified through their school then Zone to get there.

Two of our runners made it to the podium and three have made the Primary Sports Canterbury Cross Country team for 2010 and six of our runners made it in to the first 20 in their race with fields of 120 runners from all over Canterbury from the West Coast to Kaikoura to Ashburton!

Ben M-L took a well deserved 2nd in the 10 years boys race. Nathan C ran a strong second half of his race to place 3rd in the 9 years boys and Alex E also had a strong second half to take 5th and both make the Primary Sports Canterbury Cross Country team. Edward B just missed selection by one second with a great run for 11th and Matisse M and Bayley A also were only a few seconds way from the top ten in 14th and 15th in their races.
