Blue Milo Cricket Team Third

The Blue Milo Cricket team ended up 3rd out of the 85 teams that started the Milo Trophy competition today. After beating Halswell A and Waimairi A in pool play they stumbled to their first and only loss of the season 62-51 to Cotswold A. Three missed catches made the difference and they then beat St. Albans A 62-28 to win the 3rd/4th play off.

Red Milo Cricket Team take Third Place

Our Red Milo Cricket team took a well deserved third pace in the Milo Black (B) Grade competition today. They played four games at Hagley Park today with two losses and two wins. They were out played by Paparoa St. B in their first game 67 to -7 and then lost a close game to Beckenham A 34-15. In their next game they easily overcame Harewood B by 80-0. In the final game for the 3rd/4th playoff they beat Aranui A to finish 3rd out of approx. 50 teams who started the competition at the start of Term 4.

Blue Milo Cricket Win Again

The Blue Milo Cricket Machine had another commanding win today over last year's champions, Merrin Magic, by 137 to 7. Top batter today was Alex S. who hit 29 runs and a few sixes as well. Daisy O'C impressed with a quickfire 18 to be second best equal batter. Top bowler was Ocsar W who had three wickets from his six balls and no runs for figures of 3 for -9! Both Daisy and Goldie took wickets in another super bowling and fielding performance.

The team has their final pool game next week at Fendalton against Avonhead.

Blue Milo Cricket Team on Winning Way

Our top Milo cricket team have had two good wins in the last few days. On Friday they had a "friendly" against St. Albans and won by 115 to 8 with top scorer Quinn C on 29 and Sam m and Alex H on 26. Harry McC had figures of 3 wickets for -9 runs!

Today in an official game the team overpowered Westburn A by 103 to -18 with an excellent performance in the field to keep Westburn in the negatives. Oscar W. had the best bowling with figures of 3 wickets for -8 runs. Top batting again was from Quinn C on 25 with Alex S on 19 and Ben H on 13.

The Blue Team's next game is this Friday v. Merrin Magic at Merrin School from 1.30pm. Merrin were the Milo Trophy winners last year, beating Fendalton Blue in the grand final.

Milo Red Cricket Team Win

On Friday we played at Wairakei school and the score: Wairakei A got 65 and Fendalton Red got 113.

This means the Red Cricket team have won their pool and go to the Black Grade Finals day, all day 9 December at Hagley Park. Well done to the team!!!

Blue Milo Cricket Team Qualify for Semi-Finals

Congratulations to the BLUE Girls' Milo Cricket team who today qualified for the Milo Cup Semi-finals next week by beating Woolston School. On Friday 3 April they will play St. Albans at Fendalton at 1.00pm. St. Albans beat our RED team today in their 1/4 final.
