Teeball Finalists and Hardball Cricket First!
Our four teeball teams have been playing very successfully in the Primary Sports Canterbury Year 5/6 Summer tournament at South Hagley on Friday afternoons.
The Fendalton A team are currently second in the A Grade with one game to go. Next week they play the leading team, Elmwood A, and if they beat them they will win their grade. The Fendalton B team are first equal in the B2 Grade and next week play the other unbeaten team, Linwood Avenue A, to decide who wins the grade. Fendalton C are second in the B1 grade. All games start next week at 1.30pm at South Hagley.
Four Boys' Hardball Cricket teams don pads and helmets each week to play at Jeffreys Reserve in a Fendalton competition. Last week we had a first with two teams tying their match after 16 over each. The QUINNINATORS batted first for a score of 109 and then the HARFORD HAWKS matched their score exactly after an exciting last over bowled by Edward B to Maddison A and Jacob S. With the last match to finish the Qinninators and Harford Hawks have one win and one draw each, the Simpies have one win and one loss and the Roydacars have yet to post a win.
